By law, the front label must clearly state if the product is a "deodorant" or an "antiperspirant." Also, antiperspirants typically list some form of "aluminum" in the ingredients on the back label.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), children can start using deodorant around age 7 or 8, which is when sweat glands begin developing and body odor may appear.
If your child is under 7 and already has noticeable body odor, we recommend consulting a pediatric endocrinologist to rule out hormonal or other underlying issues, as this is not typical at that age.
If your child has sensitive skin or has experienced irritation from deodorants with baking soda, we recommend using DIADIE KIDS roll-on — a baking soda-free natural deodorant for kids.
